Policies & Procedures

  1. All in-person attendees must wear masks at all times, with the exception of meal times.
    1. Disposable masks will be provided on-site, but we encourage hackers, sponsors, and volunteers to bring their own cloth masks for extra protection. Do not share or exchange masks with others.
  2. Social distancing of at least 6 feet is required when possible. Hacker groups (max 4) are allowed to work closer together at their own discretion.
  3. Meal spaces and food will be served separately from main hacking spaces. Food items will be individually packaged when possible to avoid cross-contamination.
    1. Volunteer food servers must wear gloves in addition to masks when on duty.
  4. Wash your hands and wipe down personal tech equipment frequently. The Student Union venue has plenty of bathroom sinks, and hand sanitizer / baby wipes will be provided on-site.
  5. If you have any symptoms of illness while on-site, please head home immediately to isolate yourself and schedule a COVID test as soon as possible. You can still attend Pearl Hacks virtually for a rewarding experience, but please do not put others physically at risk!
